THATHRI, Jan 3: Scheduled Tribe Welfare Federation (STWF) today appealed the State Government to intervene for restoration of reservation in promotion to the people belonging to ST/SC/OBC/RBA categories.
The issue came up for discussion in a meeting of the association held here at Dak Bungalow here under the presidentship of Mohd Gulzar.
While speaking on the occasion, the speakers urged the Government for revocation of recent High Court order which has struck down the Section 6, 9 and 10 of J&K Reservation Rules and Act.
The association threatened to gherao the State Assembly on January 18, the very 1st day of budget session if the Government failed to revoke the High Court order.
The meeting was also attended by Mohd Sharief, Ch Abdul Kariem and Mohd Yousuf.
