JAMMU, Aug 29: Pakistan army today again violated ceasefire by resorting to heavy mortar shelling and firing targeting civilian locations during which children at Government Middle Mobile School Drana were trapped for about 40 minutes till they were rescued and shifted to their houses.
Reports said Pakistan army suddenly started heavy shelling and firing targeting border villages of Mendhar and Mankote in Poonch district at about 10 am. The Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively.

As shells and firing rained, students at Government Middle Mobile School Drana were trapped for about 40 minutes.
However, school authorities and local people came to rescue of students and shifted them to their houses.
“The schools falls within long range shelling of Pakistan army,” sources said.
There were no reports of any casualties or damage on the Indian side in Pakistan shelling and firing which continued for about one and half hours.
