It is misfortune of the border people that they bear the brunt of hostilities between India and Pakistan.
Everytime exchange of fire takes place at LoC, the border people become a casualty. Not only they lose their source of livelihood, the studies of their children suffer as can be corroborated from the above mentioned news item.
It is quite risky for border people to send their children to school in these circumstance and amid blazing guns.
The Government must ensure the safety of these people first by shifting them to safer zones where children can be provided education by making temporary arrangements for the same.
The damage caused to school buildings in the area may involve large sums of money for their repairs and renovation. The Government of India should expose Pakistan in international fora for shelling on civilians areas.
