JAMMU, Apr 16: Dogra Law College organized Dogra Law Fest 3.0 on its campus, celebrating talent, culture and legal awareness under the guidance of Chairperson Surekha Charak. The event focused on promoting a drug-free society while providing a platform for students to showcase their creativity and skills.
The function was graced by chief guest DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Shridhar Patil, who appreciated the initiative and urged students to act as ambassadors of awareness against drug abuse. He emphasized the role of youth in building a healthier and safer society.
Guest of honour Dr Samar Dev Singh Charak reiterated the institution’s commitment to a drug-free environment. R S Katal highlighted the need to balance cultural heritage with modern education and praised student participation.
Pradeep Singh Sen, SDPO Bari Brahmana, Sandeep Singh Chib, SHO Bari Brahmana, Satish Bhagat, Dogri Folk Singer and Sahaj Sabarwal along with faculty members Dr Bela Thakur and Dr Dharamveer Sharma also attended the event.
The programme began with a welcome address by Khushi Gupta and Saraswati Vandana. Cultural performances included a skit on drug abuse, dance performances by Tamana Rajput, songs by Yogita and Keiza Rose and Shayari by Justice Jaskirat Singh.
Winners included Tamana Rajput (Hook Steps Contest), Surya, Eklavya and Ramneek Kour (Treasure Hunt), and Eklavya (Push-Ups Competition). The fest concluded with music and food stalls organized by students.
