RAMBAN, May 24: Alleging shortage of teaching staff, students of Government Higher Secondary School held protest here today.
A large number of students from Government Higher Secondary School assembled out the school premises and held protest against the Education Department.
The protesting students alleged that there is shortage of staff in the school due to which their studies get affected.
“Our studies are getting affected due to shortage of the staff in our school”, they said, adding that the matter was brought into the notice of the concerned authorities, but nothing has been done till date.
“Owing to the lack of teachers, the students had not been able to study some subjects”, a protesting student said and appealed to the authorities concerned to take up necessary action regarding the issue, so that the students can attain their education without any hindrances.
“Five posts out of 14 were filled, but 3 were transferred without any substitute and only 2 posts were filled out of 14”, the protesting students informed.
The protesting students warned to protest in aggressive manner if the vacant posts of the teachers are not filled.
With a warning to intensify their protest, the students dispersed.
