JAMMU, June 24: Doda Police in collaboration with other departments like Excise, Social Welfare and Education spread the awareness against drug abuse and illicit trafficking in general masses particularly among the youth
In this context, Police organized various awareness programmes which includes student rallies at Gandoh, Thathri, Assar and Khellani besides movie shows in two sessions at Doda and Bhaderwah in collaboration with other departments associated with the mission. The rallies at Gandoh, Thathri, Assar and Khellani were participated by large number of school children of different schools along with teaching faculty. A large number of students also participated in the movie shows organized at Doda and Bhaderwah.
The awareness programmes were organized under the guidance of SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom and the main objective of these programmes is to spread awareness among the general masses across the length and breadth of the district especially among the youth who have a pivotal role to build up a healthy and prosperous society. While addressing the rallies / students gatherings, the resource persons advised the students to come forward and contribute their role in eradicating the menace of drug so that a drug free society is built up.
Among other officers of civil /police administration viz Master Popsy, ASP Hqrs Doda, Shahzada Kabir Matoo, SDPO Bhaderwah, Abul Ghafoor, SDPO Gandoh also addressed the rallies / gatherings in their respective jurisdictions.
