SRINAGAR, Jan 23: A group of students of MA Education final semester, who missed their viva due to heavy snow fall last week, have appealed to the IGNOU authorities to conduct their viva in this session, so that their one year is saved.
“We could not reach the examination center on due date because of heavy fall and missed our viva,” said Rifat Ara, a student. The students said that when they approached the IGNOU regional center at Rajbagh next day they were told there that they have to wait for July session.
When contacted examination in-charge, Showket Ahmad, IGNOU, regional center Rajbagh said the examinations are conducted at all India level and these cannot be postponed at any cost. He said the students should come to their center and submit an application regarding their problem, and then they can conduct their viva again but in June.
