Shops and business establishments mostly remained closed in Srinagar while public transport remained off the roads. However, private vehicles were plying. Reports of strike were also received from other district headquarters of the Valley.
Geelani also threatened of an agitation if the group was not disbanded. “We will launch a stir if the Government failed to disband the terror outfit. We will launch a movement in entire State and a course of action will be formulated with the Muslims of Pir Panjal and Chenab Valley,” senior separatist leader has said.
