JAMMU, Aug 30: Predicting total annihilation of National Conference in 2014 elections because of its duplicity and anti-people policies, PDP Jammu East candidate Bharat Choudhary on Saturday said the process of its degeneration has already begun.
He said divisive politics of the parties like NC and BJP are detrimental to the growth and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir which is facing peculiar problems on economic and political fronts that need unique treatment with a sense of urgency.
He claimed that the situation was brought under control and a new era of peace dawned under the rule of Mufti Mohd Sayeed that gave fillip to economic activity and tourism promotion.
“People are fed up with rhetoric and emotive slogans being raised by vested interests”, he said while addressing new entrants to the party fold at Peer Mitha in a function organized by Sachin Sharma and Pankaj Gupta, youth activists of party.
He assured new entrants that his party will maintain people’s sacred trust and continue to work for their betterment irrespective of caste, creed, colour or region as enshrined in the charter of PDP.
The PDP leader also cautioned the people against political gimmickry of self-seekers who have been coming before them in different guises to create confusion rather than solving problems. Choudhary exhorted the people to remain vigilant against exploiters and strengthen PDP for steering Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh to new pinnacles of progress and development.
Prominent among others who were present on this occasion, included Ashok Yogi, Ram Swroop Gupta, Vijay, Ritu Gondhi, Chander Shekhar, Chaman Angral, Ashiq and others.
