JAMMU, Dec 7: Police today arrested a thief from Bagh-e-Bahu area and recovered a stolen bike on his disclosure.
According to a police spokesperson, on the complaint of one Gopal Dass son of Baldev Singh, a resident of Qasim Nagar that his Motor Cycle No DL75R-7306 was stolen from his rented house at Qasim Nagar, a case was registered vide FIR No 93/2015 under Section 379 /RPC at police station Bagh-e-Bahu against unknown persons.
He said that today on specific information a person namely Abhi Sharma son of Sham Lal Sharma, a resident of Masha Mohalla, Kacha Talab, Bahu Fort, was arrested and during his interrogation he confessed the theft and on his disclosure the stolen bike was recovered.
The arrest and recovery was made by a police team of police station Bagh-e-Bahu led by Inspector Vijay Choudhary under the supervision of SDPO East, Rafiq Manhas, SP South, Shazad Slaria and SSP Jammu, Uttam Chand.
