Stitch a coalition

Sir,
It will be an insult to people who participated in recently held elections in case no State Government formation takes place before Jan 19. The political parties should stitch a coalition which may be stable and effective in governance.
Here it would not be wrong to say that    the record voter turnout in all the five phases of the Assembly elections in J&K is an indicator of the voters’ awareness about the importance of their right to franchise.Braving the threats of the militants and border terrorism, ignoring separatists’boycot call and facing chilly weather conditions, the voters, especially the first timers, women, senior citizens, across the whole state of J&K,displayed unprecedented enthusiasm and expressed their belief in the democratic process by casting their vote in large numbers.
Thus, they have proved that they are mature enough to realise the importance of their valuable vote to elect the candidate of their choice.
While the voters faith in the democracy is appreciable, the initiatives taken by the Election Commission of India and the Chief Electoral Officer of J& K in creating awareness in the voters by organising various programmes such as distribution of ‘sankalp patras’, conducting rallies etc under SVEEP need to be commended. All these initiatives, alongwith the voters’ own maturity and awareness helped in increasing the overall turnout of voters in the Assembly elections in J&K -a fact which has been appreciated even at the international level.
Yours etc….
