This has reference to Ball tempering issue that caught attention of the people world over. The act has been described Smith’s shame as it involved captain of Australian cricket team—Steve Smith. The act has not only brought bad name to Australian cricket team but has shocked the fans throughout the world. The scandal has given a serious setback to Gentleman’s game which had been already hit by match fixing.
It is an old saying “everything is fair in love and war”. The Australian cricket players have turned the game into a war, as they were desperate to achieve victory at any cost. Now, they have paid a high price for the game which they lost morally and literally. The scandal has given birth to another issue-partisan attitude of the ICC. The sentence awarded to Steve Smith and his deputy David Warner is being widely debated.
The Crickets have been demanding a harsh punishment, instead of light punishment to the duo so that no such incidents occur in the future.
