Statue of martyr Rashpal Singh unveiled at Nagrota

JAMMU, Apr 30: The statue of CRPF Martyr Rashpal Singh, son of Thakur Dass of village Dhok, Waziran Nagrota was unveiled by senior officers of CRPF Brig. Prahlad Singh and S S Dogra DIG Operations North Jammu CRPF.
Martyr Rashpal attained supreme sacrifices for protecting unity and integrity of the nation on May 17 in 2011 while performing his duty in Naxal infested area Dantewade in Chattisgarh. In the process of unveiling the statue the wife of martyr Mrs Sushma and his parents were also present.
The statue was installed in the courtyard of his parental house for a memorial concern with full honours and the CRPF jawans gave salute to the martyr in a traditional manner of the force. A large number of CRPF jawans, officers, relatives, villagers, Sarpanchs besides local MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma attended the function. Rich tributes were also paid to the martyr on the occasion. They said with his supreme sacrifices one more name was added in the list of national assets as martyr.
