JAMMU, Dec 3: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Abdul Majid Malik and discussed the ongoing issue of discussion on Article 370 said by BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi while addressing a rally at Jammu recently.
During the meeting, the speakers said that Article 370 is not bad for the people of J&K, but the State rulers and the present Coalition Government could not understand it.
They added that the State rulers including the present Government always misused Article 370 to maintain their family and dynasty rule. The State rulers used Article 370 to snatch the rights of the State OBCs particularly in view of non-implementation of the Apex Court judgment of 1992 on Mandal report.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, senior Congress leader Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz and their supporters always talk about the Article 370 as bridge between J&K and Centre, but remained silent about its misuse done by them by depriving the poor from their legitimate and legal rights.
The union has decided to organize a protest dharna on December 8 in front of Press Club to throw light over Article 370 and its misuse.
Among others present were Sandokh Chand, Swarn Singh, Thoru Ram Changotra, Abdul Qadir, Mushtaq Ahmed, Sain Dass, Puran Chargotra, etc.
