Start OPD at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital: Balvinder

JAMMU, Sept 25: Social activist Balvinder Singh has urged the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam and Financial Commissioner H&ME Atal Dulloo to start Gandhi Nagar Hospital’s OPD at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital Gangyal Jammu.
He said that Rajiv Gandhi Hospital is well equipped and can easily handle OPD of Gandhi Nagar Hospital.
Balvinder said that problems of the general public should not be overlooked while fighting the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
Singh said that OPD at Gandhi Nagar Hospital was suspended on March 25, 2020 when Government declared Gandhi Nagar Hospital as COVID Hospital. Since then the general public who use to come to Gandhi Nagar Hospital for routine check up are suffering, he added.
He urged upon the UT administration to depute doctors (by roaster) from Gandhi Nagar Hospital to attend the OPD at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital Babliana, Gangyal.
