LEH, July 22: Star Club Social Welfare Society organized four day Science Gadget Programme for the children at Lamdon Model School, here.
On the occasion, Renewal Energy Project Director Ladakh and Conservator Forest Ladakh Region Jagmat Tapka was the chief guest.
Ranjeet Singh from DST Delhi laid focus on DST’s Science activity for science popularization among the children.
Deepak Sharma delivered the points of science phenomena in daily life basically what is the science.
Jagmat Tapka said it is right time for Ladakhi children to gain scientific knowledge and to develop the human resources and technology skills.
Tariq Khan, Director, Star Club Social Welfare Society said NGO is organizing such programmes for children of far flung areas where communication links are less. The program is catalyzed and supported by RVPSP, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, he added.
The programme is based on Scientific Book/Model Exhibition, Scientific Explanation of so called Miracle, Science in daily life, Food adulteration and undentified and Hydroponics will be main events being displayed by the resource persons/experts from outside State especially Dr Vivek Sudarshan from Ghaziabad, Deepak Sharma from Meerut, Zia Khan from Aligrah, Vikas Raizada from Agra, Javed Alam from Patna Bihar and Shani from Banda, UP.
Essay Writing, Debate, Drawing, Science quiz and science drama were the main events from student community. Teachers Orientation Workshop on science in day today life, Science theater workshop and film show and interaction with Scientists will be also be organised.
