JAMMU, Nov 18: A delegation of Scheduled Tribe (ST) community members called on senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta here on Wednesday and vowed to support BJP in upcoming DDC polls.
Interacting with the delegation Gupta made it clear that BJP is a national level political outfit with track record of keeping national interests on priority.
He said, whosoever in the country is batting for nationalism is a friend of BJP and the party will go out of the way to support and nurture that entity to grow and become part of country’s development journey in whatsoever manner.
The BJP leader also made it clear that his party is non-aligned to any faction or religion.
He claimed that BJP is for the people, by the people and of the people.
Kavinder further said that whosoever is spreading concocted tales about BJP being communal is doing great disservice to the nation as BJP is the only party having spine to say ‘Spade a Spade’.
After discussion, the delegation expressed gratitude to the BJP leader and promised to support the party in upcoming DDC elections so that unaccomplished goals become a reality and J&K once again become vibrant region of the world which tops the rank of most desirable tourist destination in the world.
The delegation comprised Ch Haroon, ST state president, Ch Roshan Hussain, general secretary, Mohd Shafi, state secretary and Ch Mukhtaar, state vice-president.
