UDHAMPUR, Nov 16: SSP Udhampur Amod Nagpure chaired an Ops-cum-crime review meeting at District Police Lines Udhampur to assess the crime scenario and strengthen the district’s security framework.
Dy SP Headquarters, SDPOs, DySP PCs, DySP DAR, Sr PO DPO, DSP Probationary, Prosecution Officer, SHOs and Incharge PPs attended the meeting.
A station-wise review was conducted focusing on crime trends, investigation progress, drug trafficking, militancy-related threats and organized crime.
Key discussions included boosting anti-drug efforts, tightening surveillance on OGWs, enhancing intelligence gathering, strengthening cybercrime response and ensuring speedy action in gender-related offences.
Officers shared updates from their jurisdictions regarding case disposal and operational challenges.
SSP Udhampur issued clear directions on zero tolerance for crime, prompt grievance redressal, enhanced night patrolling, use of technology for crime detection and firm action against habitual offenders. He also emphasized professionalism, discipline and accountability.
He further reiterated Udhampur Police’s unwavering drive to achieve a drug-free Udhampur, urging officers to intensify anti-narcotics enforcement and community outreach to curb drug abuse.
