SAMBA, Jan 25: SSP Samba paid a visit to Border Police Post (BPP) Dug and held meeting with Border residents of villages of Dug, Abtal and Nandpur areas. Public representatives including BDC Chairmen, Sarpanchs and Panchs also attended the meeting among other senior citizens.
On the occasion, speakers among the public raised many issues pertaining to civil administration and also appreciated the role being played by police stations and BPPs in the area. SSP Samba in his address assured them that their grievances will be taken up with concerned quarters. SSP Samba laid emphasis on helping police in detection of cross border tunnels, cross border modules and assured people of suitable reward on any actionable input.
SSP Samba assured them that beat patrolling will be increased and besides emphasis on curbing infiltration and cross border activities, curbing social crimes will also receive focused attention from district police. Refreshments were also served to them on this occasion.
After conclusion of PCPG meeting, SSP Samba held a separate meeting with manpower of Border Police Posts and Village Defence Committees, SPOs and members besides listening to their grievances he stressed upon to have extensive vigil in the area, look for cross border tunnels, suspected characters visiting border villages and identify terrorist or cross border modules if any existing. They were assured of suitable rewards on account of any actionable input.
