JAMMU, Jan 20: Ahead of Republic Day, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Uttam Chand reviewed the security arrangements in border areas of tehsil Akhnoor.
He was flanked by SP Rural Rajiv Pandey and SDPO Akhnoor Naresh Singh.
SSP personally checked the deployment of the police personnel on all the nakas leading to border areas.
He stressed upon the police personnel to remain alert to thwart the nefarious designs of the anti-social and anti-national elements.
SSP also directed SHO Khour police station SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta and SHO Akhnoor Inspector Pushpinder Singh to remain extra vigilant so as to foil any untoward incident.
He advised them to brief their staff to maintain maximum alertness and strengthen the security arrangements in and around the venues where Republic Day functions will be organised on January 26
On the occasion, SP Rural Rajiv Pandey and SDPO Akhnoor Naresh Singh briefed SSP Jammu Uttam Chand about the security arrangements put in place for the forthcoming Republic Day.
