SSP Poonch distributes uniforms, satchels to flood-hit students

JAMMU, Oct 9: District Police Poonch today provided uniforms, stationery items, books and school bags to about 32 poor students of different schools whose houses were damaged and all the belongings including books and uniforms were washed away in the recent floods.
These items were distributed during a programme organized at District Police Lines (DPL), Poonch.
Besides, winter clothes were also distributed among the flood affected families.
Shamsheer Hussain, SSP Poonch, while speaking on the occasion highlighted the role of District Police Poonch for organizing of sports activities, musical concerts and other community oriented programmes with an aim to channelize the energy of the youth of the area and helping the down trodden sections of the society.
He advised the flood affected students for hard working and inculcating themselves the moral values for excelling in all spheres of life.
Khalid Amin, Deputy SP, DAR-DPL Poonch, Sheezan Bhatt, Deputy SP Operations, Poonch and teachers of the schools were also present on the occasion.
