SSP Kishtwar reviews crime, security

KISHTWAR, Sept 17: A crime and security review meeting was held here today under the chairmanship of SSP Kishtwar, Naresh Singh.
The SSP was accompanied by Additional SP Kishtwar, Pardeep Singh Goria and the meeting was attended by Deputy SP Hqrs, Dr. Ishan Gupta, SHOs, ICs of PPs, Investigating Officers and other concerned officers.
During meeting, the SSP took detailed feedback on compliance with previous instructions and reviewed fresh cases and status updates on pending investigations.
Special focus was laid on deployment planning, route security, crowd management and coordination with civil administration.
Officers were directed to ensure regular beat patrolling and maintain updated beat books with accurate ground-level data.
Updates were taken on enforcement drives, with clear instructions to intensify actions against drug peddlers and cattle smugglers.
The officers were asked to stay alert, maintain inter-agency coordination and conduct area domination, patrolling and CASO operations in identified vulnerable areas.
SSP Kishtwar stressed the importance of field presence of officers, enhanced community engagement and strict adherence to law-and-order protocols to ensure a peaceful atmosphere in the district.
He reiterated that officers must remain extra vigilant, particularly in sensitive areas and generate real-time, actionable intelligence to thwart any potential threat posed by anti-national or disruptive elements.
The meeting concluded with renewed commitment to ensure smooth and secure conduct of religious Yatras and upcoming festivals while upholding the safety and confidence of the general public.
