KATHUA, Jan 21: In order to review the general security situation in the district ahead of forthcoming Republic-Day celebrations and Assembly elections in Punjab, SSP Kathua R. C Kotwal today chaired a joint security review meeting at DPL Kathua with the officers of all sister agencies including Army, BSF, CRPF, IRP, CID and all SDPO’s of the District Police Kathua.
During the meeting all the participants have been advised to strengthen the Border Security Grid/NHW Grid /City Grid for peaceful conduct of Forthcoming national event. Besides they were also advised to enhance patrolling and strengthen Inter-State nakas for peaceful conduct of Assembly elections in adjoining state Punjab.
They were also requested to enhance patrolling/area domination and conduct vehicle checking in their area of responsibility to Rule out any subversive activities.
Moreover, participants were also requested to depute manpower in anti tunneling exercise which are being conducted regularly and monitoring of drone activities especially in the border area.
The SSP Kathua also stressed upon the Police officers to implement new guidelines/ SOP’s of Covid Appropriate Behaviour(CAB).
