SSP Jammu reviews law and order in maiden meeting

JAMMU, Aug 18: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Joginder Singh, took a comprehensive review of law and order situation, crime and security scenario in Jammu District during his introductory meeting with the District Officers today.
As per a statement, the meeting was attended by all the supervisory officers, Station House Officers (SHOs), Incharges of Police Posts (ICPPs) and Border Police Posts (BPPS) posted in the District.
During the meeting, SSP Singh emphasized the importance of diligence and maintaining the highest level of integrity among the officers.
He also stressed the need for officers to reach out to the public and resolve issues related to the police department promptly.
SSP Singh highlighted the core areas of policing that require immediate attention, including the eradication of drugs, combating terrorism, and upholding the rule of law.
He urged the officers to prioritize these critical issues as they have a significant impact on society.
In addition to these core areas, SSP Singh directed the officers to ensure that public grievances are attended to and resolved on priority, emphasizing the importance of maintaining public accessibility at all times.
He instructed the officers to implement necessary preventive measures to control criminal elements operating within their jurisdictions.
SSP Singh also underscored the role of the police in upholding the rule of law and working towards a crime-free society.
He encouraged the officers to adopt a proactive, community-oriented approach to policing, ensuring a visible and positive impact on the ground.
Furthermore, he stressed the importance of taking all necessary measures for the welfare of the jawans under their command, recognizing their crucial role in maintaining law and order.
