KATRA, June 26: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) GRP Katra, Abhay Mahajan today inspected security arrangements on Udhampur-Katra railway track, which will be thrown open for normal train traffic on July 4.
Mr Mahajan along SHO GRP Katra and other officials conducted inspection of security arrangements for track, tunnels and bridges by travelling on trolley from Udhampur to Katra.
He issued necessary directions to the GRP personnel for proper security of the track especially in the tunnels and on the bridges. He also took stock of the Duty Huts and Sentry Posts constructed by the Railways for the GRP personnel for which he was having regular interactions with the concerned authorities.
While interacting with the GRP personnel at different places, Mr Mahajan asked them to maintain hawk’s eye on entire track to thwart any nefarious design of the anti-social elements.
