SSP conducts surprise inspection, realizes Rs 31,000 fine

SRINAGAR, Dec 2: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Enforcement conducted a surprise inspection at Gulmarg in North Kashmir and realized Rs 31,000 fine from violators of Tourism Trade Act.
A police spokesman said a team of Police Tourism Enforcement Wing led by SSP Enforcement, Abdul Qayoom, conducted a surprise inspection at Gulmarg to check the complaints of overcharging /cheating.
“An amount of rupees 31,000 was realized as fine from different persons who were found indulging in violation of Tourist Trade Act. Besides, awareness programmes of Tourist Trade Act were also held at different places in Gulmarg,” he said.
The spokesman added that the drive will continue against violators of Tourist Trade Act and stern action will be taken against the guilty.
