The protesting students said that they are in the 8th semester of their degree but the examinations of the backlog subjects of their 5th semester are yet to be conducted. “The second chance for the backlog subjects of our 5th semester subjects has not been given yet. We are in the 8th semester of our degree and the examinations of the backlog subjects are still pending,” Naveed Mukhtar, one of the protesting students said.
He said their degree would have been completed in last year but the callous attitude of the varsity authorities has resulted in delay in their degrees.
Coming heavily on the Kashmir university administration, the protesting students said that their fellow students from other universities have completed their degrees and are doing jobs but in comparison, their degrees are still pending even after six years.
The protesting students appealed to the authorities to conduct their examinations at the earliest.
