KATHUA, May 14:  A delegation of Students Socialist Federation today met Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed during his visit to Kathua and submitted him a memorandum against recently introduced semester system at college level.
In the memorandum, the CM was apprised that due to inefficient conduct of exams and semester system, more than 85 percent students have been declared fail. A number of brilliant students, who had secured positions and distinctions in 10 plus 2, have also become victim of this faulty system, which needs to be changed immediately, the memorandum added.
The Chief Minister assured to look into the matter so that students may not suffer.
The deputation of Students Socialist Federation, which met the CM, was led by district president Harmeet Singh and comprised of Randeep Rajput, Pushkar Proch, Arvind Kumar, Tishant, Mohit and Danish.
