SSB organizes medical,veterinary camp in Gandoh

JAMMU, Feb 14: The Seema Shastra Bal (SSB) today organized medical and veterinary camps for welfare of poor people of Gandoh, Gwari and Kilotran in Gandoh area of Doda district under the command of Sham Kapoor, Commandant of 42 battalion of the SSB.
Dr Khalid Hussain Malik, SDM Gandoh opened the camp in the presence of Kapoor, Dr YJK Singh, Commandant (Medical) and Dr KS Devi, Commandant (Medical) in the presence of lady doctors, police officers and local people.
Addressing the people, Sham Kapoor emphasised that the SSB is committed to welfare of the people of the area, who were living in harsh climatic zone with fewer opportunities and facilities. He distributed computers, school bags and study material among the students of Government Middle School, Gandoh and declared that soon two Embroidery Centres will be opened-one each at Gandoh and Kehra to train young women of the area to make them self dependent.
Dr Malik, SDM Gandoh, police officers and Panchayat members hoped that the SSB would organize more such camps.
Over 2000 patients were examined by the doctors of the unit.
