SSB conducts written test for 78847 candidates

JAMMU, Feb 22: The J&K Services Selection Board has successfully conducted the examination of candidates who had applied under advertisements of various categories of 10+2 level posts for appointment against the posts referred by various Government Departments during 2011, 2013 and 2015.
Pertinently, the Board examined pending references as well as the responses received against the Notifications issued vide No. 01 of 2011, 02 of 2013, 12 of 2013, 03, 04, 05 and 06 of 2015, falling in new recruitment policy and decided to conduct the objective type written test for the posts.
The Board already issued notification for information of candidates who have applied against the advertised posts for which conduct of written test is one of requirement for determining the suitability/merit of the candidates. Accordingly, the examination was notified for information of the candidates regarding conduct of examination on 26.12.2015, which was later postponed and re- scheduled to be conducted on 21.02.2016.
Since the number of candidates was on higher side, the written test had to be conducted at identified centres located in various districts viz; Anantnag, Baramulla,  Bandipora, Budgam, Doda,  Ganderbal, Kathua,  Kishtwar, Samba,  Udhampur besides the centres located in Srinagar and Jammu districts.
The examination has been conducted smoothly and transparently in 201 centres indentified for the purpose in various districts across the State for which 78847 candidates were scheduled to appear.
All required logistic support was provided by the Divisional and District administrations besides Police, Education (College /School /Technical Education Department) and other allied departments for smooth conduct of the examination.
