Srinivasan gets clean chit in IPL spot fixing case

NEW DELHI : The Supreme Court appointed SIT headed by retired Punjab and Haryana High Court Chief Justice Mukul Mudgal has given a clean chit to suspended BCCI Chief N Srinivasan in the IPL spot fixing scam.

SIT in its final report submitted in the Supreme Court has, however, found his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan guilty of betting. Meiyappan has been exonerated of the charges of spot fixing.

Raj Kundra co-owner of Rajasthan Royal was in touch with the spectaculars. The contents of the report were made public by a Supreme Court bench headed by Justice T S Thakur during the hearing of the case today.

Raj Kundra, husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty who herself is a co-owner of Rajasthan Royals, had made a large number of calls to the speculators and Meiyappan was also in constant touch with the betters.
