SRINAGAR, Feb 18: National Conference lashed at the PDP Government over the “totally neglect” of Srinagar city.
“PDP feigns fake sympathy for Srinagar while out of power but when in power they neglect it like they are doing now” said political secretary to working president Tanvir Sadiq, while conducting an extensive tour of Shehar-e-Khaas where he interacted with numerous public delegations from various areas who apprised him of various long-pending public grievances since the present Govt took over.
“Even in their previous Government PDP did not do justice to the city when the party had an opportunity while it was in power from 2002 to 2008 in coalition with Congress” said Tanvir adding in the last two years Srinagar hardly gives a feel of a modern City and there is chaos everywhere because of PDP’s mismanagement. “The Ministers are busy in their own joys and fancies and have put people under hardship”, he added.
The NC leader said that the people should see for themselves who was their well wisher and who was hoodwinking them, “Srinagar is heart of J&K and PDP will have to pay the price for neglecting the city. People are just waiting for the day these people will be thrown out,” said Tanvir.
Expressing disappointment at the Government’s insensitivity towards the people, especially in view of the harsh winter weather, political secretary to the working president said the administration has completely failed in dispensing its basic duties. “The power crisis in the Valley is unimaginable”.
Tanvir Sadiq was interacting with the people at Nowshera, Zadibal, Botakadal, Badamwari and Hawal adding the power curtailments and the lack of essential supplies in the harsh winter is unimaginable and the Government is seen only on the TV and people are left to fend for themselves.
The political secretary also lashed out at the Administration for failing to stock ration depots with adequate rations and essential commodities and said this brazen level of neglect and irresponsibility was unprecedented. “Despite having increased the rates of essential commodities, the Administration has failed to ensure that ration depots are stocked with a bare minimum amount of essential commodities and rations. It seems like the Government is deliberately persecuting the people which is unfortunate”, Tanvir said
Block president Zadibal, Youth leaders and prominent citizens of the area accompanied the NC leader during his tour.
