JAMMU, June 6: The SR College of Competitions (SRCC) today conducted a special online workshop for the IAS and KAS aspirants involving a Delhi based faculty.
The workshop, spread over two sessions on Friday and Saturday, focused on Science and Technology component of the General Studies. While one was on Basic Science, the other remained on Technology.
Both these sessions were conducted by Dr Rajshekhar, who focussed on both Preliminary and Mains examinations. Students were guided regarding the prescribed books, reading of newspapers and other useful ways to study the available material.
He also discussed the previous year’s question papers to give an idea to the students -the kind and the level of questions and how to address them in the given limited time and words.
To involve students into healthy discussions, Dr Rajshekhar spoke about Space Technology, Biotechnology and other technology areas like digital governance, digital signature, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and legal aspects.
In Space Technology, the focus remained on ISRO and its structure, types of Orbit and Satellite, GPS and its application.
“These sessions are a kind of primitive exercise to draw attention of the Civil Services aspirants towards important and scoring part of examination, especially in the difficult time of pandemic,” informed Centre Head, SRCC Jammu, Praful Sharma.
