JAMMU, May 15: In the much publicized spurious drug scam, Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu, Puneet Gupta today rejected bail applications of Akhil Gadoo, Ashok Kumar Raina and Amardeep Raina.
After hearing CPO Kulbushan Sharma appearing for the Crime Branch, Special Judge Anticorruption observed, “as the investigation is going on in the matter the custody of the accused is required”, adding “the lives of the consumers of the medicine have been put to peril and the accused cannot take any advantage by rasing the plea of their own liberty through the medium of the applications”.
“If the life of the person cannot be saved by those who are connected with the medical world then at least he should be spared by being not provided with bogus medications”, the Court said while dismissing applications of three accused.
