JAMMU, Sept 26: In order to promote adventure activities especially Sport Climbing in J&K, Sprawling Buds School, Chinore (Jammu) donated an amount of Rs 20,000 to Tawi Trekkers, J&K, the pioneer adventure club in J&K.
The cheque was presented by the principal of the school, Puja Sharma to Ram Khajuria, senior vice-president of Tawi Trekkers, J&K, in the presence of Rahul Sharma, Romesh Khajuria, Arti Sharma, Savita Khajuria, all Directors of the school and Satish Bhan.
It may be mentioned here that Sprawling Buds School has been in the forefront to promote sport climbing in J&K. The school has a standard fiber glass sport climbing wall on which all the district and open competitions of Jammu province as well as State Sport Climbing competitions are regularly conducted. The school hosted a Sub Junior North Zone Climbing Competition also on this wall, last year. The school has also been sponsoring many coaching camps in sport climbing for the local budding sport climbers besides participating in almost all the activities of Tawi Trekkers J&K.
With a vision to produce international climbers in J&K the school has also planned to install an international standard Finger Board in the school premises so as to provide international standard technical facilities to the sport climbers of J&K, Puja Sharma, Principal of the School announced.
