NEW DELHI, Aug 31: Cardamom rose 1.46 per cent to Rs 837.80 per kg in futures market today after speculators widened positions supported by rising spot market demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in September rose Rs 12.10, or 1.46 per cent, to Rs 837.80 per kg in a business turnover of 148 lots.
In a similar fashion, spice for delivery in October gained Rs 10.20, or 1.21 per cent, to Rs 848 per kg in 104 lots.
Market analysts said besides pickup in demand at the spot market, tight supplies from producing regions mainly helped cardamom prices to trade higher in futures trade. (PTI)
