8Born on June 5, 1988, Ajinkya Madhukar Rahane is an Indian cricketer, who is a member of current Team India. He was born in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. He is a right-handed batsman and a part time medium pacer and palys for Mumbai in domestic cricket. Rahane made his First Class debut in 2007-08 domestic season and averaged 62.04 after 100 FC innings. He scored a century in his debut FC innings against Karachi Urban in 2007. He was  also selected in 2007-08 Duleep Tropy where he scored a brilliant 172 against English Lions which included many internatonal plays, from where he came into limelight. He also scored 2 centuries in Emerging players tournament in 2011 and thus was selected for India’s tour to England in 2011. He has scored more than 6000 runs in just 69 matches. He was also a part of Mumbai Team when Sachin Tendulkar playted his last FC match at Mansi Lal Cricket stadium in Haryana. His performance in LA Cricket hasn’t been as good as FC. He has scored 3027 runs in 90 LA matches at an everage of 34.79 with best of 187 runs. He made his test debut in International cricket against Australia on 22nd march 2013 against Australia. He was  also part  of South Africa and New Zealand tour in 2013-14. He made his bebut century against New Zealand where he scored 118 runs. He made his ODI debut against England in 2011 and has scored 687 runs in 27 ODI matches with best score of 91. He plays for Rajasthan Royals in IPL and has been their star-performers. He has been retained by Royals for 2014 IPL. He is a middle-order batman in test cricket and bats as an openers in ODIs.
