SRINAGAR: A Special Police Officer (SPO) was shot at and wounded by suspected militants at Tral in south Kashmir district of Pulwama on Tuesday night.
Official sources said that suspected militants barged into the house of SPO Ashiq Hussain Lone at village Pastuna, Tral in Pulwama on Tuesday night.
They said the gunmen fired at the SPO, resulting in injuries to Lone. “The injured was immediately taken to a hospital,” they said, adding the suspected militants managed to escape from the spot.
Security forces have been rushed and a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers. (AGENCIES)
