JAMMU, Feb 7: A Special Police Officer (SPO) of J&K police and his brother were attacked with sharp edged weapons by some miscreants at Phallian area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, over some old enmity five persons attacked an SPO and his brother late last night when they were going towards their residence. In the attack, SPO Asha Singh (36) son of Hajjara Singh, a resident of Channi Nanak and his brother Vijay Singh (28) received serious injuries.
They were immediately shifted to Government hospital, Sohanjana from where later they were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
In this connection, a case FIR No 28/16 under Sections 323/341/147/148 RPC 4/125 Arms Act stands registered at concerned police station. Acting swiftly, police has arrested two out of the five accused.
The arrested accused have been identified as Rampaul son of Shallu Ram of Phallian and his brother, Lal Chand.
