SPMR College organizes series of webinars under ‘Manodarpan’

JAMMU, Dec 1: Government SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu organised a series of webinars under NAAC in coordination with Psychological cum Career Counselling Cell.
The series began with the webinar on “Alumni Achievers Success Stories”. In this, the college invited five young achievers of the college, including Swayam Dugal Entrepreneur, Vishal Sadhotra KAS Nodal Officer Airport, Abhimanyu Singh KAS Dept of Handicraft, Anuj Vaid, Company Secretary, Rahil, Helping Hand Comrate (NGO), who shared their success stories with the students, and interacted with them.
The second webinar was conducted under the flagship programme initiated by chief patron, Talat Parvez Rohella, Commissioner Secretary, Higher Education Dept. JK – UT. In the webinar “Youth Employability Program”, Er Rahul Vohra young professional officer from Ministry of Labour and Employment, Govt of India, was the key speaker along with Dushyant Manhas, Career Counselling Officer, in Govt Employment Department, JK, UT.
The students were made aware about different job portals and training which soon will be imparted to the students in batches of 50. The third webinar on Mental Health and Crisis Management under the aegis ‘Manodarpan’ an Initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, was supervised by Commissioner Secretary, Higher Education Department. Dr Manisha Sarup Kohli Associate Prof, Govt PG College for Women, Gandhi Nagar was the Resource Person.
All the three webinars were graced by the Principal of the college, Prof R S Jamwal and attended by students and faculty of the college. The Principal encouraged and motivated the students to take advantage of the initiative and various schemes of the Government as intimated to them. All the webinars were organised by Prof Archana Kaul (Convenor NAAC and Psychology Cell), Prof Rekha Gupta (Coordinator Career Counselling Cell), Prof. Shreya Sharma, Prof Rajni Bala and Dr Himani Arora .The formal vote of thanks were presented by Prof Rekha Gupta in all the webinars.
