Spl DG CRPF reviews shrine security

JAMMU, Jan 23: Special Director General, CRPF, SK Bhagat today reviewed security situation in holy cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi ji with CRPF, civil, police and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) officials.
Bhagat accompanied by IG CRPF Jammu, Kuldeep Dhar and DIG (Operations) Mool Chand Pawar visited Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan this morning and held ‘Sainik Sammelan’ to review security scenario of the cave in the wake of January 2 terrorist attack at Pathankot airbase.
He briefed the officers about steps required to further boost security of the holy cave shrine, which is thronged by thousands of people daily for darshan of Goddess Vaishno Devi in Trikuta Hills.
Sunil Kumar, Commandant, 6th battalion of CRPF briefed the top CRPF officers about security situation at the Bhawan.
The Special DG CRPF also had darshan of natural pindies of Mata Vaishno Devi ji and then reviewed situation with the officers of SMVDSB, civil administration, CRPF and police
Bhagat also had review of security situation in Katra, which serves as base camp of Mata Vaishno Devi ji shrine.
