JAMMU, Sept 30: As many as 60 stalls have been set up at Kala Kendra, here for Gramya 2022 Mela being organized by NABARD.
This is a first of its own kind national level exhibition being organized here wherein artisans from over 18 States are exhibiting their regional traditional specialties.
A wide variety of products like handmade decorative glass lamps, Charma Jutti from Rajasthan, famous Jaipuri Razai of Jaipur, Chikankari from Lucknow, Jute fibre products from West Bengal, world famous Mithila and Madhubani painting from Bihar, wood carved statues, tussar silk sarees from Jharkhand and a range of handloom and handicrafts from all over India are on display for sale at stalls in the Mela.
These hand-made and exquisitely crafted products are being sold by the artisans themselves at very reasonable rates in the Mela.
A variety of food products depicting local cuisine of different States like Aaloo Papad, Sabudana Papad, Masala Vadi etc from Bihar, home-made pickles of different varieties, Kashmiri dry fruits, acacia honey, peanut/dry fruit chikki, famous gulkand of different varieties from Rajasthan, mal pua stall from Himachal Pradesh etc are also available for sale.
The Mela is started on September 26 and will culminate on October 2, 2022 at Kala Kendra.
