JAMMU, Jan 2: Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, Kashmiri Pandit leader and incharge of the J&K BJP’s Department of Political Affairs & Feedback, has appealed Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to establish Special Crime Tribunal to go into all cases of excesses against Hindu-Sikh minorities of the Valley and fix responsibilities for crimes against humanity in Kashmir.
In an open letter to the Lt Governor, he said that the killing spree against the members of the minority Hindu-Sikh community in the Kashmir valley is unfortunately unabated.
“After the killings of Ajay Pandita, Sarpanch and Sardar Anoop Singh, policeman in the Kashmir valley during the early quarters of the year 2020, three unfortunate deaths in the minority Hindu community took place in the Valley. Recently, one Kashmiri Pandit lady breathed her last in Khundru village who had met a serious/deliberate accident some weeks ago. Her leg developed gangrene and she left behind two small children and her ailing husband. Next, only a few days back, one Ajay Kapoor’s dead body was found in Baramulla in mysterious circumstances. And now only after some days of the above tragic happening, one Satpal Nishchal was selectively killed by the terrorists in the broad day light in his shop at Amirakadal,” said.
Maintaining that all these killings are serious issues of grave human rights violations against the Hindu-Sikh minorities in the valley, Mr Chrungoo pointed out that in addition to this, Arya Samaj Yagyashalla was usurped and burnt to ashes by a close relative of an Ex-MLA in Rainawari.
Demand establishment of the ‘Special Crimes Tribunal’ to go into all such excesses against the Hindu-Sikh minorities of the Valley, Mr Chrungoo also requested the Lt Governor to constitute a Board for the Hindu temples and shrines in the Valley in order to protect them from further plunder, loot and usurpation.
