Pvt schools seek concession in depositing PF contribution

JAMMU, Jan 2: A delegation of Executive members of central body of J & K Private Schools Association called on Prasant K, Regional Provident Fund (PF) Commissioner EPFO Jammu and sought concession in paying PF of the employees.
General Secretary of the Association, Ajay Gupta briefed the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner about the ‘threatening’ SMS by JKPFO of erstwhile J&K State to the schools for updating of missing PF contribution up to October 2019.
“Due to closure of the schools at the beginning of the academic session, enrollment of most of the private schools has declined and there is severe financial deficit in all big as well as small private schools due to improper cash flow,” he said and demanded concession from the concerned departments till schools are closed and most of private schools owners are solely dependent on this venture.
President of the Association, Kamal Gupta urged that considering the pandemic situation, concession should be made in paying both shares of Provident Fund (PF) of all defaulters till schools are closed or Economic Package is sanctioned by the Government to pay for the revival of Private Educational Institutions.
The delegation comprised of Ajay Singh, Ram Parkash Sharma, Jatinder Heera and Laddi Sharma.
