UDHAMPUR, Mar 28: Six days Special Training Course on “IEDs and Urban Operations” for Probationer DySPs, PSIs, PASIs and staff members of SKPA, organized by Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) concluded here today.
The training on IEDs and Urban Operations was imparted by Tactical Team of SVP-NPA Hyderabad including 2 Superintendent, 1 Deputy Superintendent, 2 Inspectors and 14 staff members and attended by total of 38 probationer officers and staff of SKPA Udhampur.
The course was inaugurated with inaugural address of Mohammad Sulaiman Salaria, ADGP, Director SKPA Udhampur, while BD Paulson, DIG, DD Tac of SVP-NPA Hyderabad along with the team and senior officers of the Academy were also present.
At the outset Director SKPA stressed that there is need of this training for the police officers of J&K as State in particular has witness many incident where antinational have resorted to use of IEDs and opted for urban warfare to cause harm to life and property of our state. He also gave detail of such events happened in J&K.
During this programme, the trainee officers were taught on ‘IEDs and Urban Operations”.
The course concluded today, in which presentation of course report by faculty member of SVP NPA Hyderabad, who appreciated the enthusiasm and interest of the trainees have showed during the course.
The valedictory address was delivered by Mohammad Sulaiman Salaria, ADGP, Director SKPA Udhampur who stressed that state of readiness, preparedness, proper training and continues enhancement of capabilities with regard to new emerging trends and tactics used by militants and antinational by the police agencies is the only key factor which can result in reducing causalities and the in effectiveness of IED attacks and Urban Warfare by extremists.
The team of highly trained officers and officials of SVP NPA Hyderabad was deputed by Director SVP NPA Hyderabad, DR Doley Barman on the request of DGP J&K Dilbag Singh.
Among others present were Mohan Lal SSP AD (Outdoor), Mohammad Farid SSP AD (Admn), Murtaza Nasir DDP AD Indoor, Kamal Sharma CPO CLI SKPA, other Gazetted officers of SKPA Udhampur, faculty from SVP NPA Hyderabad and trainee officers including DySP (Prob), PSIs and PASIs.
