Like other sectors of the economy, tourism and tourism related trade, services and activities too have been affected due to the lockdown to fight the corona virus pandemic. Hotels, lodges, eating shops, restaurants, taxi auto owners and others have been deeply hit, the impact of which was going to be there for more time as even after lifting of the lockdown, return to absolute normal activities and hence normal earnings was foreseen with doubtful feelings and rightly so.
In this connection, All Jammu Hotels and Lodges Association, in a meeting while hailing the Government of Jammu and Kashmir for its apt management of the COVID crisis, has urged both the Central and the UT Governments to look into the problems faced by them and announce certain measures and revival package under a well formulated policy so that tourism and related activities could be revived and sustained in this part of the country which, on the whole, is largely dependent on tourism industry and tourism related commercial activities.
