Special DGP, ADGP Armed visit martyrs’ homes

SRINAGAR, June 13: Special DGP Headquarter, PHQ VK Singh visited the house of martyr SgCt Ghulam Rasool Lone at village Gagal Lolab, district Kupwara, who attained martyrdom yesterday at Pulwama during terrorists attack at New District Court Complex Guard Pulwama.
Singh was accompanied by Vijaya Singh, Member PWWA and Shriram Dinkar Ambarkar, SP Kupwara.
Special DGP extended deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family on behalf of DGP J&K. He assured every kind of assistance to the family.
Singh while hailing the supreme sacrifice of the martyr assured the family that whole Police Department is with them in this hour of grief. He assured the family that the amount of ex-gratia relief will be paid to the family as soon as legal formalities are completed. He asked SP Kupwara to get the paper work done at the earliest.
Vijaya Singh met Halima Begum, widow of the martyr, her two minor sons and daughter and offered her condolences.
Meanwhile, AK Choudhary, ADGP Armed, J&K visited the residence of martyred constable Ghulam Mohammad at Wahlitra Rafiabad and extended deepest sympathies with the bereaved family.
He assured the family that every possible assistance will be provided to the next of kins of the late constable.
ADGP was accompanied by DIG NKR Sunil Gupta and SSP Sopore Javaid Iqbal Mir.
