JAMMU, Aug 17: Special DGP CRPF S K Bhagat today visited 121 Battalion CRPF at Kathua. He was accompanied by Kuldeep Dhar, IGP Jammu Sector CRPF and P K Sharma DIG CRPF Jammu Range.
They were welcomed by S S Rana, Commandant 121 Battalion CRPF. The Special DG first visited the Indo -Pak border belt in Hiranagar, Police Station Rajbagh and took a stock of the security measures for Amarnath pilgrims being made by CRPF.
The officers of Battalion apprised the DGP of the situation in the area. Later Special DGP visited District Police Lines Kathua where the 121 Battalion has been deployed and addressed a Sainik Samelan there. While addressing the Sainik Samelan the Special DGP lauded the role of CRPF jawans and officers and urged them to be devoted to their duty like this in future too. He also complimented the jawans and officers.
Nissar Mehmood, Second Commandant of 121 Battalion and Deputy Commander, Pawan Kumar and other officers were present on the occasion.
This was followed by refreshment hosted by 121 Bn for the officers and Jawans.
