JAMMU, Sept 13: Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar, in association with Rotary Club Rajouri is organizing a special check-up camp on Sept 16 (Sunday) from 9.30 AM to 2.00 PM at Government Senior Secondary School, Rajouri.
Disclosing this, Dr Ravi Mahajan, Director, Smile Train Project, Amandeep Hospital said during the camp, experts from Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar will check and identify the patients of Cleft Lip & Palate.
Cosmetology, Cosmetic Surgery and Bone & Joint replacement patients will also be examine free of cost during the camp. After selection, Cleft Lip & Palate patients will be brought to Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar for treatment. Dr Mahajan said that the Hospital in collaboration with American NGO- Smile Train, is treating Cleft Lip & Palate patients free of cost and till date it has become able to bring back smiles on the faces of more than 7000 such patients.
“Surgery of such patients is being done free of cost by Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar including hospital stay, operation charges, medicines, food. The family of the patient needs not to spend even a single penny on treatment of Cleft Lip & Palate. If a patient is from far-flung area and can’t bear the transportation expenses, he is paid the same by the hospital”, Dr Mahajan added.
