Speaker seeks cooperation from members for smooth conduct of House

SRINAGAR, Aug 25:  Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly speaker Mubarak Gul today sought cooperation from members of all political parties for smooth conduct of the six-day-long last session of the current Assembly.    Chairing a Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meet, the Speaker said the Question Hour being important should be run without any disruption.
He said every political party will be given equal opportunity to raise maximum public interest issues.    The members gave their suggestions to make the session successful and result oriented.
The first day witnessed a member from National Panthers Party (NPP) storming into the Well of the House, demanding immediate discussion on cross border firing by Pakistani troops in Jammu region when the members were speaking on obituary reference.
Later the Speaker ordered marshals to take the NPP member Manjit Singh Mankotia out from the House. (AGENCIES)
